1. Policy Purpose

As a solo practitioner, the safety of my clients during Sound Healing, Reiki, Chakra Balancing, and Crystal Healing is my highest priority. This policy establishes a clear, immediate protocol to follow if an accident, injury, or sudden medical emergency occurs within my dedicated studio space, during transit, or while providing mobile services at client-provided venues.

2. Definition of an Incident or Accident

• Minor Incident: Minor cuts, scratches from crystal handling, light dizziness or emotional shock from energetic work, or mild slips that do not require external medical attention.

• Major Accident/Emergency: Severe physical injury, falls from the treatment table, burns from incense/candles, sudden loss of consciousness, seizures, cardiac events, or severe allergic reactions.

3. Immediate Emergency Protocol

In the event of any major accident or medical emergency, the session is halted immediately, and the following chain of action is executed:

Step 1: Secure the Environment

• Stop all sound instruments and energetic work immediately.

• Ensure the immediate area is safe from hazards (e.g., extinguish burning sage, move heavy crystals or sound bowls away from the client).

Step 2: Assess and Apply First Aid

• Check the client’s responsiveness and breathing.

• Administer immediate first aid using the fully stocked portable first aid kit (available in the studio and carried to all mobile sessions). Only perform actions within your level of training.

Step 3: Call Emergency Services (911 / Local Equivalent)

If the client is unresponsive, severely injured, experiencing chest pains, having a seizure, or requests medical help, call emergency services immediately. Provide the dispatcher with:

• The exact address (studio location or current mobile venue).

• The age and gender of the client.

• The current state of the client (breathing, conscious, bleeding, etc.).

• The mechanism of injury (e.g., fainted and fell).

Step 4: Contact the Client's Emergency Contact

Locate the client’s emergency contact details on their pre-session digital intake form and notify them of the situation and which medical facility the client is being transported to.

4. Mobile Travel & Lone-Worker Specifics

If an accident happens while working alone at a client’s home or private venue:

• Trigger the Emergency Contact: If you are incapacitated or injured yourself during a mobile visit, your off-site Emergency Contact will initiate the emergency protocol if you fail to check out within the designated 15/30-minute window, as outlined in the Lone-Worker Safety Protocol.

• On-Site Venue Coordination: If the accident occurs at a public or corporate event venue, notify the onsite venue manager immediately so they can assist with building access for emergency responders.

5. Documentation and Accident Reporting

Every incident, regardless of how minor, must be officially documented within 24 hours of the occurrence using an Accident Logbook.

Information to Record:

• Full name, phone number, and address of the injured individual.

• The exact date, time, and specific location of the accident.

• A factual, objective description of how the accident happened (avoid speculation).

• The specific injuries sustained and the immediate first aid or medical actions taken.

• Names and contact information of any witnesses present (e.g., venue staff or family members).

6. Insurance and Professional Notification

• beYogi (Insurance Plus) Notification: In compliance with policy terms, any accident involving physical injury, property damage, or medical intervention must be reported to beYogi immediately. Forward a copy of the completed Accident Log to the insurer to protect your liability coverage.
